MY NAME IS ALEX BAENA, I’M A PASIONATE COOK AND I WORK AS CHEF AT HOME IN BRUSSELS.
My passion for cooking started 18 years ago and since then I have evolved as a cook driven by my curiosity and desire to learn. I have had an extensive formation in Spain, my home country, among others in A Punto Kitchen School in Madrid and also taking courses with prestigious chefs such as Luis Arévalo, Mario Sandoval (2 stars Michelin), Diego Guerrero (2 stars Michelin) or José Luque.
I am specialised in low temperature cooking, using techniques learned with Salvador Brugués in El Celler de Can Roca (3 stars Michelin). This is a healthier way to cook while enhancing the flavours of the ingredients at the same time.
I offer you the chance to taste true Spanish gastronomy and the experience of eating in a top restaurant at your own home in Brussels. I propose you an honest and healthy cooking based on good products cooked with care.
